Privacy Policy

The application currently has no account system, application database, or server API that uploads your practice history. Practice state is saved in your browser so a session can survive a refresh and so Review, Statistics, and Learn progress work.

Sharper Edge includes a direct Google Analytics 4 integration. It uses Advanced Consent Mode for requests that Cloudflare classifies as originating in the United States and strict Basic Consent Mode everywhere else. The production build still requires a valid public measurement ID, privacy contact, matching canonical production origin, and explicit enable flag. Global Privacy Control disables all application analytics.

Analytics status: Google Analytics is fail-closed in this build because the required production configuration is disabled or incomplete.

Normal page and asset requests still reach the site's hosting infrastructure, and the page currently requests fonts from Google. Those requests are separate from the product's analytics preference and are described below.

The setup dialog requires an “Allow cookies” or “Decline cookies” selection before practice begins, and Settings exposes the same Google Analytics preference later. “Decline cookies” keeps analytics storage denied, but limited cookieless page measurement can continue for traffic classified as U.S. traffic. Outside the United States, the Google tag does not load before an affirmative choice and no Google Analytics request is sent after refusal.

A same-origin Cloudflare Pages Function reads Cloudflare's IP-derived country code and returns only an advanced, basic, or off policy bucket. The application does not receive or store the country code. Unknown locations, Tor, malformed responses, blocked requests, and endpoint failures fall back to Basic Consent Mode. A Global Privacy Control request returns the off policy.

In U.S. Advanced Consent Mode, analytics storage and every advertising consent type default to denied before Google's tag loads. Before “Allow cookies,” Sharper Edge sends only manual page views for a fixed set of normalized public routes; bounded product events remain disabled. Google states that denied-state pings may also carry connection or consent information such as a timestamp, user agent, referrer, consent state, and a random number generated for a page load. No Google Analytics cookie or application user ID is stored in this denied state.

When all activation conditions are met and you allow cookies, the browser loads gtag.js if it is not already active, permits analytics storage, and sends manual page views for a fixed set of normalized site routes. Query strings, URL fragments, unknown routes, raw referrers, and browser-provided page URLs are not sent. Sharper Edge may also send bounded product events with the following fields:

• Rules profile identifier, feedback mode, practice mode, entry source, opened feature, statistics scope, or Learn lesson slug, plus bounded review-filter and content-type selections.
• Decision count, correct/incorrect decision quality, fixed practice milestones, and a bounded action name with success or failure.

Analytics events do not include card values, player or dealer hands, round or session identifiers, bankroll, betting unit, wagers or settlements, strategy grades, imported or exported content, free-form text, URL queries or fragments, raw referrers, contact information, or a custom user ID.

After cookies are allowed, Google receives the approved event fields plus ordinary connection and device data involved in an internet request, such as IP address, browser and device information, and request time. Google Analytics may derive its standard first-visit, session-start, and user-engagement events from consented activity. Enhanced Measurement is intended to remain disabled, so Sharper Edge does not intentionally enable Google's automatic scroll, outbound-click, site-search, video, file-download, or form events. Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> may be set only after consent. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied. Google Signals, ad personalization, remarketing, and Google Analytics User-ID are not used.

The intended Google Analytics event-data retention setting is two months. That setting is controlled in the Google Analytics administration console and cannot be verified by this application code; Google may retain aggregated reporting data or other records under its service terms. Sharper Edge has not implemented a separate first-party aggregate-analytics endpoint.

Google LLC is the analytics provider and recipient when either cookieless U.S. measurement or consented analytics is active. Google handles information it receives under its Privacy Policy, partner-site data explanation, and Google Analytics Terms. Sharper Edge does not sell this analytics data and has not connected the implementation to Google Ads.

The page currently loads Inter and JetBrains Mono through Google Fonts. This creates requests to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. As with an ordinary web request, Google can receive connection information such as an IP address, browser or user-agent information, and request metadata. Those requests occur whether the analytics preference is allowed or declined.

Font delivery and Google Analytics are separate. Font requests occur whether the analytics preference is allowed or declined; the consent rule above governs the analytics tag and events only. Sharper Edge does not control Google's font logs or retention.

The site's host and network providers necessarily receive requests needed to deliver HTML, JavaScript, styles, images, and other files. They may keep security or access logs containing information such as IP address, request time, path, and user-agent. The application source does not establish which host is used in every deployment, its logging configuration, or its retention period, so this page cannot promise that those logs do not exist.

Browser data generally remains until you clear it, the browser removes site storage, or the browser profile is deleted. The round and decision ledgers each keep at most 10,000 records and drop the oldest records when that cap is exceeded. Aggregate lifetime statistics can remain after older individual records are trimmed.

Settings provides Export, Import, and Clear all data. Export creates a JSON file on your device containing product settings, the current session, round and decision history, lifetime statistics, and Learn progress. It deliberately excludes the analytics preference. Import reads a file you select in the browser and restores compatible data locally; the current app does not upload that file.

You can withdraw analytics permission at any time by selecting “Decline cookies” in Settings. Withdrawal stops future bounded product-analytics events, returns U.S. traffic to limited cookieless page measurement, stops Google Analytics entirely for non-U.S. traffic, and makes a best-effort attempt to remove Google Analytics cookies for this site. It does not automatically erase data Google processed before withdrawal. A browser Global Privacy Control signal overrides a stored grant and keeps all application analytics disabled.

Clear all data removes the application's local-storage keys, including the saved analytics choice. Browser controls can also clear this site's storage. Neither action can delete records that may already exist in hosting logs or in Google's font-delivery or analytics systems.

Local storage is not an encrypted account vault. Anyone with access to the same browser profile, and software allowed to run for this site, may be able to access it. Keep exported files where you are comfortable storing the practice information they contain. Because there is no account or backend backup, cleared local data generally cannot be recovered by the product.

Material changes to application data practices should be reflected on this page, with the “Last updated” date changed. Because the product has no accounts or user email list, it cannot provide policy updates through an account inbox.

A named legal operator is not currently published. Requests concerning records held by Google or hosting providers may also be subject to those providers' processes and cannot be completed through the trainer interface alone.
